Xiaomi’s Redmi Go smartphone runs on light Android software specifically designed by Google.

Xiaomi has emerged as the most significant player in the smartphone market in India. Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi Go in India by targeting users switching from a feature phone to a smartphone. These entry-level smartphones are available for Rs 4,499, which runs on Google’s specially designed low-end smartphone with Android based on the Go Edition OS. Let’s tell you about some of the smartphones that come in this price segment like the Asus Zenfone Lite L1 and Honor 7S, how smart these smartphones are.

Price and availability in India

Xiaomi’s cheapest Android smartphone, Redmi Go, has a price of Rs 4,499 in India. These smartphones can be purchased at Fehlman Shomei’s online store and Flipkart during a flash cell. Asus Zenfone Lite L1 and Honor 7S are priced at Rs 5,999, which can be purchased in Flipkart Open Sale.


At Redmi Go, the company has given a 5-inch HD display, which has a resolution of 720 × 1280 pixels and aspect ratio 16: 9. In the Honor 7S and Zenfone L1 Lite, it has a larger 5.45-inch HD + display, whose resolution is 1440 × 720 pixels and the aspect ratio is 18: 9. Snapdragon comes with 425 SoC in the Redmi Go smartphone, which has a quad-core CPU. The smartphone comes with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage, which can be expanded through micro SD card.

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 comes with a slightly Powerful Snapdragon 430 SoC that comes with an octa-core CPU. This smartphone has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. On the other hand, the Honor 7S smartphone comes with MediaTek MT6739 SoC which comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Both smartphones can be expanded through the memory card.

The Camera

Shaomi has given an 8-megapixel rear camera in his smartphone RedmiGo, which comes with LED flash. Both Honor 7S and Zenfone Lite L1 come with the 13-megapixel camera. Both smartphones have a 5-megapixel front camera.

Battery, OS and Connectivity

Xiaomi and Asus have given their Redmi Go and Zenfone Lite L1 smartphone with 3,000mAh capacity battery. On the other hand, Honor has installed 3,020mAh capacity battery in its 7S smartphone. Speaking of software, the three smartphones run on Android 8.1 Oreo. Of these, Redmi Go comes with the light software Go Edition built by Google for low-RAM smartphones. Speaking of connectivity, all smartphones support 4G LTE and VoLTE. All three have been given a micro USB port.
